Senior Manager
Finance & Human Resources
Studied and versed in finance and management, Ms. Tam applies 25 years of
career experience towards the continued prudent management of BEL's
Financial and Human Resources. She joined BEL in 2000 as the Financial
Controller and became the Senior Manager of Finance and Human Resources in
2004.
She oversees the Company's Securities Portfolios and ensures the proper
preparation and analysis of the Company's financial reports. In the Human
Resources area, Ms. Tam ensures that all policies implemented are in
accordance with the Company's objective to foster a productive work
environment, where training is heavily emphasized to ensure employees are
equipped with the skills to deliver on the Company's service commitments.
Prior to joining BEL, Ms. Tam served as a 'Member of the Financial Team' and
'Group Accountant' for Carlisle Holdings Ltd. (now BCB Holdings Ltd.) and 'Head
of the Accounting Department' for Regent Insurance Co. Ltd. (now RF&G
Insurance).
She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), holds a Bachelor's of Science
Degree in Business & Public Affairs and a Masters of Business Administration
(MBA).
Ms. Tam is a member of two international bodies of Certified Public
Accountants, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Belize and
serves on the Board of Governance for St. Catherine's Academy. She is the First
Vice President of the Belize Red Cross and a member of the Finance
Comission of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Cresent
Societies (IFRC).
