BEL automatically assesses and classifies electricity accounts every 6 months, which may result in reclassification. Classification is
based on how electricity is used at the various premises. Customers may request to be assessed.

The Commercial II Classification is defined as high consumption Commercial and manufacturing business
establishments, including but not limited to large hotels or resorts, water suppliers, oil companies, industrial
refrigeration, large block factories, food and farming processors including dairy producers, aquaculture and utilities.
BEL classifies Commercial II service as all high consumption commercial and manufacturing business
establishments whose average monthly consumption is greater than 2500 kWh. Classification is determined on a
bi-annual basis where the previous 6-month consumption average is greater than 2500 kWh.
