The Industrial Classification is defined as manufacturing, construction, mining, agriculture, fishing and forestry
establishments or those industries in the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC) Codes where energy
is provided at any BEL standard primary distribution/transmission voltage. Customers are afforded an Industrial rate
if they are prepared to invest in the interconnection infrastructure to the primary distribution system and meet the
consumption and the capacity requirements.
Industrial Classification is determined on a bi-annual basis, based on the previous 6-month consumption average.
