ROLANDO SANTOS
Senior Manager
System Planning & Engineering
A specialist in his field, Mr. Santos holds, with FIRST CLASS honors, a Masters
of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He joined BEL in 2008
as the Director of System Planning and Engineering and recently became the
Senior Manager of the same. He oversees all planning of the Company's
Transmission and Generation Infrastructure ensuring the orderly and economic
expansion of equipment and facilities to meet future load demands. In addition to
developing designs for Distribution Substations, Transmission Lines and
protection solutions for power system equipment, Mr. Santos also oversees all
System Expansion and Reinforcement Projects, Special Projects and
maintainance of BEL facilities and compounds.
He holds certification in Power Technology and Engineering and is a member of
the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEEE) and Association of Professional
Engineers of Belize (APEB).
Prior to coming on board at BEL, Mr. Santos was the Chief Plant Engineer for
Crystal Bottling at Bowen & Bowen Ltd., franchise operators for the Coca Cola
Corporation in Belize.
